Sabina Duo

Sabina Duo is formed by Clara Sánchez on the cello and Ana Marco on the piano. We both come from Spain and got to know each other in The Netherlands, where we both graduated from the Classical Music Master at ArtEZ Zwolle. We started playing together in 2021, having received advice from the cellists Karlien Bartels, René Berman, David Faber and the pianist Frank van de Laar. We are deeply passionate about the music we make, and our aim is to bring each piece to life with our unique interpretation and voice, sharing it with our audience.

Concerts

In this program, we take you on a journey through the works of French composers, offering a rich variety of styles that range from the vibrant romanticism of Saint-Saëns to the delicate, impressionistic tones of Debussy. We’ve always been fascinated by how Debussy’s music carries hints of Spanish and other exotic influences, blending cultures in such a mesmerizing way. In order to show the deep artistic connections between France and Spain, we also include pieces by Spanish composers. This thoughtful choice not only celebrates the mutual inspiration shared by these two traditions but also gives us and the audience, the chance to experience the dynamic interplay between their musical worlds. We find the exchange of influences to be incredibly moving, as it reminds us of the universality of art and its power to transcend borders.
