where two fit, three belong

Noia Trio

Noia Trio is a dynamic piano trio based in Zwolle, formed by three Spanish musicians: Almudena Bujanda on violin, Clara Sánchez on cello, and Ana Marco on piano. The trio came together in 2023, with ArtEZ Conservatory as a meeting point, since the three of them studied the same Master’s there. Despite their different musical journeys, they found an immediate connection, rooted not only in their shared Spanish heritage but also in their aligned artistic visions.

Their first performance featured Joaquín Turina’s Trio No. 2, a pivotal moment that ignited their passion for Spanish music and chamber repertoire. This piece continues to inspire their approach, opening the doors to new projects that blend classical traditions with their personal creativity. Noia Trio seeks to explore a broad range of works, from established classics to lesser-known gems.

Since Noia Trio was created in 2023, they have received coaching from cellist Karlien Bartels, violinist Judith van Driel, and pianist Hannes Minnaar. They have also participated in the Dudok Muziekdagen Kampen festival in May 2024, and in May 2024, they won the Publiekprijs in The Best Of, the final round of the Chamber Music Sessions organised by ArtEZ at Schouwburg Odeon.

Concerts

Noia Trio envisions themselves as dynamic performers who seek to reshape the traditional classical concert experience. Their mission is to engage audiences through concerts that are approachable, vibrant, and mind-opening. As passionate advocates of classical music, they strive to offer performances that are not only easy to listen to but also spark curiosity, inviting the audience to reflect and ask questions.

The trio offers two different concert formats. The first centres on rare, unrecorded or unpublished pieces, showcasing hidden treasures of the classical music world. The second format focuses on jewels of the classical repertoire, enriched by unique surprises that make each performance special and captivating. Through this exploration of both familiar and forgotten works, Noia Trio aims to create a fresh, enriching experience for the audience.

first program

Estrenarte

For the following proposal we present a 30-minutes concert that offers a unique opportunity to discover the musical richness of two Spanish composers, whose work has been little explored both in the Netherlands and elsewhere. Noia Trio will perform works by two Spanish composers: the Trio No. 2, Op. 76 by Joaquín Turina, a composer whose talent is recognized but whose work is less performed outside of Spain, as well as Scènes Andalouses by Rogelio Huguet i Tagell, a composer who has been almost forgotten even in his home country. Through this program, we aim to highlight the beauty and artistic quality of these compositions, giving the audience the chance to hear unknown but equally captivating sounds.

second program

Oddissey

“Odyssey”, a very special concert proposal, where we will take a musical journey through the works of Ludwig van Beethoven, Johannes Brahms and Paul Schoendfield.

During the next hour, we will have the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the intense and tragic Beethovenian melodies, explore the romanticism and passion of Brahms and conclude with the vibrant and enthusiastic rhythm of composer Schoenfield.
