Noia Trio wins the Publiekprijs at The Best Of

On May 21, 2024, The Best Of, the final round of the ArtEZ Chamber Music Sessions organized by the ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle, took place at Odeon. A few months earlier, I participated in these sessions with Noia Trio, formed together with Almudena Bujanda (violin) and Ana Marco (piano), and we were selected to participate in the final. The three of us are Spanish, which inspired our name, as Noia means “girl” in Catalan.

I remember our participation in The Best Of with great affection, as we performed the first piece we ever played together as a trio: Joaquín Turina’s Trio No. 2. This piece holds a special place in our hearts, not only because of its significance to us but also because its composer is of Spanish origin.

In this final round, we competed alongside five other groups. We were very happy with the outcome, as the audience chose us as the winners, and we were awarded with the Publiekprijs. As a prize, we received a professional recording, along with offers for several concerts, some of which we have already performed and others that are about to come!
