Those of us who love music are perpetual explorers and, as such, we need to build mental maps of sounds. The leitmotif of this project is to trace the sounds of Rogelio Huguet i Tagell in an attempt to draw a map.
Huguet was a Catalan composer (1882-1956) who lived and worked in Paris for most of his life; a musician who was highly regarded and appreciated in the Paris of the 1920s and 1930s, but who is now completely forgotten.
My aim is nothing less than to weave this composer between data, music and silence in order to recover the memory of his work, to make more familiar those sounds which, like those of so many other forgotten composers, do not inhabit the common places of our cultural baggage.
